so we got a stay of execution, as it were. dnet has agreed to keep carrot online through the weekend. of course simultaneously, there's problems with daniel's new hosting location, prolly beyond reconciliation. daniel asked me if i just wanted to call it quits at this point and go my own way or if i'd continue to help. and because i'm on crack, i said i would. he suggested, and the thought had crossed my mind over the last few days, that his new web design company could hire me (or a new company of my own) to host li's former fifty or so web clients.
i haven't committed to anything yet, but i'm weighing the pros and cons. it would mean that at least one of my servers would have a home somewhere online, and that's prolly the biggest check in the plus column. at the moment i'm really too tired to reason out the finer details tho, as i only got four hours of sleep last night. so maybe i'll dream on it.
