dreamt that i was traveling cross-country with george and sam. and we were almost completely broke. we stopped at this place that i remembered as a nice cafe, but it had turned into a bakery. we bought a loaf of bread 'cause it was all we could afford. we couldn't even get anything to drink.
went and saw sebadoh tonight. i had the foresight to buy tickets about a month ago when i had money. didn't know who (if anyone) i'd end up going with at that point though. george was working, so i emailed q to see if she'd like to go, and went with her.
it was a pretty good show. the guy opening, richard buckner, was cool. he had three beat up guitars, an acoustic, a hollow-body electric, and one of those reissue 1950s style danelectros that i want to get. he played them through a bunch of effects pedals that drowned the vocals out on most songs, but i have a feeling his albums are good. as for sebadoh, i tend to like lou's song's better on the albums, but a lot of jason's have great energy live. the crowd was a bit obnoxious, but i was right up front and able to tune them out for the most part.
