so i tried to go to bed early last night (well, one am), but i couldn't get to sleep. when i finally did it was a very restless sleep. which means that i slept late again. i think the only way to really fix my sleep schedule is to get up early, and let exhaustion work the other end.
i tracked down the local social security office to get my new name matched up with my existing number. i was running into problems applying for financial aid because of the discrepancy. i didn't think to bring change for the parking meters though. so i ended up driving across town to whole foods to buy some breakfast, and mainly something to drink, and get some change. then drove back to the building that the social security office was in.
the change itself was easy enough. then i drove back up town to pick up the new issue of cerebus, then home. it was getting really hot and humid by this point (early afternoon), too much so to really do much of anything else that required being outdoors.
went to hang out with q again around seven. now that i'm leaving it's really starting to feel like i actually have a friend in this town. but, that's the way these things work. it's in large part because i'm leaving that we're spending more time together.
