magicbeans. nothing if not awkward.

so we didn't even look at our tree homework in drawing. we started out drawing "layers of tone and line". then he stopped us and said "don't draw shapes, just move the charcoal around on the page." i really got into that. and he liked my drawings. of course then we spent most of the day figure drawing, which i'm not as good at.

so lots of charcoal, very messy. took a shower after class. my hands are still black.

went to the salvation army tonight. bought shorts. i think this is the first time i've really worn shorts since china. odd.
