we started our chair crit this morning. ken asked if we should go alphabetically or by volunteer. i said i'm alphabetically first and i'll volunteer 'cause my chair is in a partly done state. and so i showed what i had and explained what it was s'posed to be like.
it went pretty well except for kris's speech about how "this is just me, but when something's due i get it done, and i don't like to hear people making excuses why they're not done." it almost sounded like he was being vindictive about something. i didn't really understand him.
i noticed a little while into the crit that some people stopped sitting in their chairs, and moved to the floor or a prototype or somewhere else.
we broke about 430 and i stayed in the studio and worked straight through until 1130 to finish my chair while everyone else went to the beach for a bonfire and such.
but i got it done.
