i think my modern architecture mid-term went okay. it was definitely easier than all the hype. i wish i had been a bit more awake during the "re-engineering of the city" lecture, as there was a big question on that. but i think i had enough info in my head to get by.

before that, we hoisted our concrete megalith up onto the wall. it definitely came out pretty well. if we were to do it again, there's a few changes i'd make, but for a first shot, not bad.

and after the mid-term, to the studio to work on my design principles project. i started playing with the "missing ring" of material. exploding it into three-dimensional space in a way that symbolizes the forming of the pleats. (again, this probably doesn't make any sense, but check the pix at the left for examples.)

now, i'm not sure that this really answers the problem set forth. but it's a start. of course i have to have it completely done by wednesday afternoon.

and then work in the library. where i was not motivated to do a particularly great deal of reading. and back to the studio at eleven for a couple of hours.

not terribly exciting. i did see alex.h for about three minutes. for the first time since last wednesday or something. i was remarking on how i hadn't seen him or kris or jen since last week. and yuka in over a week. i never see anyone anymore. 'cept architecture people of course. that's really the only plus of eating in the met, is that i do have the possibility of running into people outside of the beb.
