so the purpose of this trip home was in large part to drive down to stamford with daniel and pick up daikon, my server that is currently not in use, for reconfiguration. i was talking with daniel online this morning, and the new plan seems to be to reconfigure daikon on-site, and put it back online there. i've got a few problems with his plan, but figured it was reasonable.
so i told him i was going out, and would be back in the early afternoon, and i'd get in touch with him then. i went on this garden tour that was being sponsored by the local historical society. it's odd that after just a year of architecture, i found myself looking at everything in the light of how i would have done it differently. and occasionally considering how i could integrate something that i liked into my own future designs.
i got back about one. daniel had been idle about ten minutes. i figured he had just stepped away and would be back momentarily. ten minutes became half an hour, and my internet connection kept terminating, so i left him a message to call me instead.
a couple of hours went by and i didn't hear from him. eventually i logged back on to find an email asking what had happened to me. i was curious what had happened to him.
ended up talking with george on the phone for a bit, then going out for japanese with my mom, sam, and his friend reid.
