thanksgiving. cybèle's birthday. (happy birthday.)

it was a big extended family thanksgiving thing this year. thirty-something people. second cousins who i haven't seen in years and all of that. not a whole lot that i could eat, other than the curry that i brought (not all that traditional a thanksgiving dish, but the right colours anyway). it was fun though. got to talk about architecture, and risd, and rome.

and my pie turned out well.

got a phone call from er!n later in the evening. we hadn't talked in a while, and so i was a bit out of touch with what had been going on in her life. things sound pretty good, other than the fact that she totaled her car yesterday. but no one got hurt, which is the most important part. she's thinking about moving to new york city sometime in january. which isn't much further away, but hopefully i'll get to spend some time with her before then.
