magicbeans. nothing if not awkward.

so i did manage to finish my computer model this morning and print out some renderings. and then crit. i think it went okay. one of our guest critics was a risd faculty member with a reputation for being very tough. and she kind of set the tone for the whole day. so it was a little bit hard to tell when the criticism was because the project was well rounded and had a lot in which to talk about, and when it was because the project was lacking.

i was pretty happy with my project though. my presentation drawings and models didn't express my ideas as well as they could have, but. so i think it went okay.

our section went out for sushi afterwards, which was fun. i didn't participate in the revelry to quite the extent that a few of my younger colleagues did, but had a good meal and a couple of drinks.

in a way i'm sorry to see the semester end. i was really enjoying studio at the end. and i've got plenty more semesters to go, but all in all i think this was a good one. (the one class that i most want to be over with is not, of course.)
