magicbeans. nothing if not awkward.

more family strife. for about a month i've been planning on going to see frank black tonight. i bought my ticket last week. chris.k and garth had never really committed to going, but expressed vague interest when the topic came up. this afternoon when he left chris.k said that he wouldn't be home for dinner and i shouldn't wait around for him to go to the show. later garth called and said pretty much the same thing.

and so, having to go by myself, i didn't want to go early and stand around looking out of place until the show started, so i sat at home and watched tv until i figured that at least the opening band would have started. five minutes shy of leaving garth and chris.k came home, saying that they would see if there were any tickets left for the show and if not (as was likely at this point) they'd go out to a bar instead.

and the show was sold out. saw alex.h, kris, and lauren there though. and the show was good. although i didn't get into it quite as much as the last time he was in town.
