magicbeans. nothing if not awkward.

so i'm taking 18 credits this semester, but it's also the first time i've ever had a whole day without any classes. which really just makes monday through thursday that much tighter. and leaves only friday (and maybe saturday) for working. and so my first library shift of the semester, six hours without a whole lot to do.

i read the first chapter in a biography of mao zedung for my history of modern china class. but of course i haven't had class yet, so i'm not sure when in the semester we'll even supposed to be reading the book.

also bought the books for wood and steel this morning. but at $85 a piece i figured it would be worth looking online to see if i could find them cheaper. which i did, so i'll be returning the copies to the risd store and saving myself nearly $75 dollars. my italian text book, $81.50, was actually a couple bucks cheaper than i found it anywhere online. imagine that.
