we slept late. and i was totaly okay with it this morning. when we finally got up i had to go out for that disciplinary review board metting. and we met and discussed the case and actually wrapped things up pretty quickly.
stef's been on somewhat better terms with her family, which i'm very happy about, and last week i got email from her mom, sorry she didn't get a chance to meet me before i left for rome, but wishing me well. but things worked out so that i got to go home with stef this afternoon and meet her family. we stopped for groceries on the way, stef thought we should cook a vegan meal for them.
and it was a little crazy once they were all home. somewhat overwhelming, but i'm so glad we went. and dinner came out well.
we went swimming in their new pool. a dip in the hot tub. we rented a movie, then stef and i stayed up watching tv again. and to bed in seperate rooms (yes it's sort of cliche), but before that stef lay down next to me to say goodnight. "we're only going to spend one night here when we come to vist. we're going to have to stay in different rooms until yr thirty." the uninteded effect of that comment was that we both realized that that's not really all that far away. "lets just pretend yr twenty-three," she said.
