switched library shifts today so that i could go to the flea market. i went with allison. i figured that going with a girl would somehow make me less self-conscious about buying girly shirts. of course i didn't end up buying any. i did buy some used clothes. a pair of brown corduroys. a professorly green corduroy jacket. a pink dress shirt. and actually one article of women's clothing, but it was only for the print on the fabric, a very short skirt, i think i might cut it up and sew it into other pieces of clothing, i don't think i'd really look good in a short skirt anyway, i'd have to shave my legs and all that.
also bought a few little packets of assorted world postage stamps. most of the are pretty recent, some are stamps that i still have unused sheets of at home, but a few are older, and a lot of them are really nice. my intention had been to paste them into pieces that i was working on and draw or paint on top of them. to use them for the numbers, basically, and maybe bits of the pictures. but now i feel like they're too nice to do that with. that i have to scan them and use the printouts like i'm doing with the book and photos and everything else.
