noticed today that the bit of javascript that opens my trackback links crashes the new version of safari (1.1). it appears only to crash if the link is opened from a page served as xhtml (including the correct mime-type). here's a stripped down sample of the problem. and the same thing with the incorrect mime-type for comparison.

for almost anyone who might be reading my site this is just some pointless techspeak. but if you are using the new safari and want to open a trackback link, you might have to pull it up in your second preference web browser.
