magicbeans. nothing if not awkward.

Went to see Hellboy after work. I had never read the comic, it having debuted a few years after I stopped reading most superhero books. But there's still a sense of nostalgia to it all, and when people from work were talking about going to see it tonight, I was more than happy to tag along. And really, it was quite good. There were some big holes in the plot, and other bits that were over-explained, but I forgive it that. I found myself actually caring for the characters and engrossed in the story. Most of the acting was good, and the special effects were great. Plus it was long, over two hours, making it worth the $10 that it costs to see a movie in NYC.
