I stopped at Bread and Circus on the way home from work to pick up some additional sushi ingredients. (Rob got a few things the other day, and Dan had talked about going to a Japanese market to get more rice and nori. They are getting into the veggie sushi thing.) And arriving to a quiet home I realized that it was vegan night at the NYU dining hall, which I had been off-handedly invited to last night. My medium-term memory is so off-kilter. I bought a B-12 supplement a few weeks ago, but still haven't started taking it. And I know that B-12 hasn't been conclusively tied to memory problems other than Alzheimer's, which I'm still quite a bit too young for, but it still wouldn't hurt to be taking it.
However, it worked out that I ended up at home, because the other thing that I've been forgetting to do for the past few weeks is my taxes. And today's the day. Were I to actually owe any money, I'm not sure that I'd do them, conscientious protesting and all, but since I was unemployed for most of last year, I don't owe anything, and might as well stay on the IRS's good side for the moment. I did them online. It took about half an hour, and then was out of my hands.
