I left my computer online downloading Kill Bill Vol. 1 while I was out today. I set the away message on AIM to 'brunch' which is where i was headed, and which I remembered hours later after a day of walking around Manhattan and Central Park. 'That's okay,' I thought, 'no one ever messages me anyway.'

(Earlier, headed down 5th Ave, I ran into Carrol, director of the RISD Library, coming the other direction. We didn't get a chance to talk for long, she was off to a dinner, but it was a nice surprise to see her.)
