Sam was in Brooklyn for two days and stopped by this morning to hang out for a bit. We went and got a bite to eat at Life, and just hung out for a few hours before he headed into Grand Central and the MetroNorth train back up to Connecticut. It was nice to see him, but I kind of wish that he could have spent a little more time here.
Later on I talked with Chris on the phone for a bit. He's started at a trade school to get a degree as a certified welder, and is still trying to work full time, so I don't expect to see all that much of him for the next handful of months. Which I suppose means that if I want to be social at all, I have to start making a real effort to hang out with other people on a regular basis. Which I really should be doing anyway. It's just hard for me to pick up the phone and call people out of the blue to see what's up. I always feel as if I'm imposing on them. That I should really only be calling if I have some bright ideas of things to do, and as anyone who knows me knows, I'm no good at planning. It sort of starts and stops with sushi. That's something else I have to work on.
The moral of the story is that I spent the night at home watching TV.
