Slow day in CT take 2.
27 November 2004
Rain and wind this morning that kept me all soothed in bed until nearly 1130. Ellen called while I was in the shower. 'Just calling to say hi. Ask how Thanksgiving in Connecticut is. I'm leaving New Hampshire and heading back to the city tomorrow morning.'
More downloaded TV shows. Between yesterday and today I caught up on The Wire, Lost, The West Wing, Arrested Development. Watched a handful of of other cop dramas.
More pumpkin pie.
Dinner with George at Bizen in Great Barrington.
We stopped in Lakeville on the way home so that I could peek in the windows of the Morgan Lehman Gallery. The current group show is entitled 'Smaller Than a Breadbox'. I could have so been in that show. I hope that living by myself motivates me to set up a studio and start making stuff.
Later, tried calling Ellen back, but couldn't make it three minutes without a dropped connection. The first: 'I don't get great service out here in the country, so we might get disconnected at any point.' And silence. Call back. 'Kind of like that.'
'It was like a magic trick.'
After the fourth, 'Maybe we should just talk tomorrow afternoon when we're both back in New York.'
