BAC Broadcast Saga. Part I.
28 December 2004
Before the weekend I started a graphic for a Bank of America broadcast studio in Boston. What does a bank need with a broadcast studio? I have no idea. But I was happy to have the opportunity to do some broadcast graphic work, even if it was primarily PANTONE 186.
I got a little bit crazy. 'The bank will never go for this,' I told myself, 'but it's getting the ideas flowing for a version somewhere down the road that they might actually go for.' And I wasn't planning on billing for all the time that I was just having fun with it.
Eddie saw what I had been working on this morning and wasn't immediately shocked and appalled. 'Too much blue,' he said. The red/blue balance was changing from minute to minute so that wasn't a big concern. 'And these buildings need to be softer. And try to get some more flagscapes in there.'
At the end of the day I sent him the most recent version.
