Went down to Union Square after work to pick up an automatic cat food dispenser for Chesterfield. It was sprinkling a little when I got on the subway, relatively dry when I got off, and then torrential downpour when I walked out of Petco. So I get a little wet, I thought.

Grabbed some take-out on my way back to the subway. Took the L to 8th Ave. Then stood on the platform, soaking wet, for well over half an hour. At rush hour you almost never wait more than five minutes for a train. Eventually, as the platform is getting crowded with people, there's an announcement that because of a stalled train all uptown A and C trains are running on the F line between Jay and West 4th Streets. Which would understandably slow things down a little bit, but shouldn't have slowed things down quite this much. Ten minutes later a C finally rolls in. And another five minutes after that an A, which made every stop up to 59th before going express.
