Alex has started updating his blog again, but so far it's, unfortunately, nothing but PowerPC Linux and network configuration stuff. I've had some similar experiences over the last couple of days, trying to get mod_suexec to work with the Apache httpd install on avocado, primarily for the purpose of per-user cgi access to PostgreSQL, which I also had to upgrade, along with the associated perl modules to interface with it. But in my case, sysadmining has become such a part-time activity that when I do have to install or upgrade something I basically just hack away at it until it works or until I (temporarily) give up, as I did with DomainKeys and system-wide spam filtering. So I really couldn't say anything all that terribly intelligent about the steps that I took to get it working. I feel the same way about my new phone, which really does need some well-written, easily searchable online info in English.

Not to let a Tuesday go by without going out, I went to Trailer Park after work, for nothing special margaritas, a not bad veggie burger, and a beer. But still headed home relatively early and soberly.
