You know how when an indoor cat gets outside and is totally freaked out by the enormity of the world? I kind of feel that way out here in Ohio. I've grown so accustomed to having tall buildings around me at all times. Cradling me. The buildings here are all so low to the ground, the sky is so much bigger. I feel as if the earth could just toss me out into space and there would be nothing to arrest my fall.

And all of the light of that big sky reflecting off all of the snow on the ground in contrast to the actual dark of the sky at night was more than enough to jolt me out of sleep at a perfectly reasonable hour of the morning.

After breakfast we went out to see how the Holland Theatre, the Dutch themed old vaudeville theatre currently undergoing restoration, for which my dad is serving as Executive Director, was coming along. It is a pretty amazing place, and when they finish the restorations I'm sure it will be spectacularly amazing.

The afternoon was spent mostly sitting around catching up and watching movies on TV. TNT was playing an ancient Egyptian prophesy themed block, with The Mummy, The Fifth Element, and Tomb Raider. Of which I only really watched the middle one, and it was pretty dumb plot-wise, but the design was beautiful.
