magicbeans. nothing if not awkward.

bean is not actually from antarctica. his heart is covered in paisleys.

he makes tiny little pictures and sometimes writes about his life.

My brother Aaron is leaving his position with the Audubon Society (initially a six month internship which ended up lasting over three years) and is relocating to Philly to work for a wind-energy company. There was a going away party for him in Connecticut this evening, and I took the train out of the city to attend. (I also plan on attending his housewarming party in Philly, should he have one, as it is about equidistant in the opposite direction.)

I started my new novel on the train on the way up. Longhand, so I'll have to type up what I've written, but I think it's about 1200 words. Of course all I really have so far is two unnamed characters who don't say a lot to each other, no real plot to speak of, and a couple of vaguely sketched out locations. We'll see if it actually takes me anywhere this year.

The party was nice until I started getting a migraine. Probably had something to do with the cold I've been fighting off, not eating anything all day, and all the travelling.

I caught the last train back into the city and was mirrored every leg of the trip (two MetroNorth trains, two subway lines) by a girl in a grey sweatshirt. I didn't see where she got off of the uptown A though.
