this morning i dreamt that i was at a school (it must have been in new england, the leaves were changing, and in good dream form it shared aspects of my grade school and nmh and other schools i've have been) and these two secret service agents showed up and told us that the us was under terrorist attack, and we had to get to a shelter, because we might be bombed. it was really kinda scary.

so i come into work today, and after hearing reports of bounced mail i check into the status of the li.com domain, and find that it's on hold. our main fucking domain, on hold for non-payment. either it was paid in july when it was due, and this is a fuck-up on internic's side, or it's a fuck-up on our side, but either way the end result is the same. email sent to all our dial-up customers is bouncing. and it's not a no route to host, will keep trying for three days sort of bounce, it's a fatal error, domain does not exist sort of bounce. i paid for the domain myself (maybe for the second time), but it won't be updated until tomorrow's internic db update. and then it takes another day or two to propagate. in which time our web client domains will stop working, 'cause their dns records will be looking for li.com.

fuck, fuck, fuck.
