so, happy spring. the change of the seasons doesn't have quite the same impact in texas as it does in new england, but this is the second vernal equinox i've spent in a warmer climate in the last few years.
slept late again today, to another bunch of odd dreams. in one there was a reflecting pool in my front yard in connecticut, and there was a rabbit and a cat swimming around in it. it kept getting deeper and deeper into the ground, and there were a bunch of kids (who i had gone to high school with, for the most part) hanging out around it. one girl suggested we all go get dinner in minnesota, which i thought was a bit far away for dinner.
in another dream, daniel gave me this beet-coloured, rubbery, currency of the future sort of thing. and i took it to a supermarket, where i ordered a bunch of fresh fruit for breakfast the next morning.
and the last bit i remember involved a bubbly chemical that was used in developing photos and created weird, psychedelic effects. i was learning about it in some sort of class, and we were told that jimi hendrix had used it on some album covers and called the result 'spyrographic' something. and it turned out that this chemical also had hallucinogenic properties if ingested.
earlier today there was a bird outside my window making a wonderful range of noises that i really wanted to record. unfortunately by the time i dug out my microphone and cables and such, it had flown away.
