i kept waking up this morning thinking i must have missed the orientation, but i'd look at the clock and it would be like 530. finally, after five or six times it said 744, one minute before my alarm was to go off.
got up, took a shower, went to get breakfast but the dining hall was closed. apparently it opens later on sunday mornings. which makes some sense, i guess.
our orientation was actually a trip to boston, a kind cheesy cruise around the harbour, and a stop at the museum of fine arts. the museum was cool. i kinda got lost wandering around and didn't see another risd student for like an hour. but i found a painting by wucious wong that was a cross between a modern abstract and a traditional chinese landscape. very cool.
and i talked with people and everything. which was sorta the real point of the whole thing, get to know yr fellow students. so that was cool too.
came back, had dinner. wandered up to thayer street with a bunch of people from my dorm. it's sorta the main shopping street in the risd/brown area. bought some tylenol.
