i dreamt of aliens and robots. the following is embellished slightly from those dreams.
chapter one: there once was a boy who fell in love with a robot. the robot was much older than he was, and so transformed herself to a younger state. but in doing so, she lost most of her life memories. the boy said "but now you are no longer the robot i fell in love with. please change back."
chapter two: there are lots of alien races. some look a lot like humans. i fell in love with a beautiful alien girl.
chapter three: we fought a terrible battle against an alien race called the gruuens, who are like intelligent space-algae, and one of their allies.
chapter four: it must have been around halloween. my alien girlfriend and i were wandering through a haunted house. we found ourselves trapped in a room, so i began looking in the dresser drawers. one of them was full of t-shirts that i had lost over the years.
chapter five: a professor was showing us a holographic projection of a meditation room.
chapter six: a bunch of my friends wanted to go to the beach. for some reason, i found myself riding on top of the car. it was actually quite comfortable, until we pulled into the beach parking lot and i almost fell off.
chapter seven: at the beach, i sat on the sand and talked with my alien girlfriend who had camouflaged herself as a pile of towels. i tried to turn around, but i couldn't make myself look behind me. it was as if half the world had been dismantled and there was this huge continuity gap that my mind couldn't process. it was scary.
chapter eight: i was sitting in my bedroom, explaining my dreams to my alien girlfriend. aaron and sam and some of their friends were going to watch movies in the next room and asked if we wanted to join them.
dyed my hair this morning. i wasn't sure what colour i wanted to use, so i went with my old standby, pink. it's a bit brighter than it's ever been before though, 'cause i actually bleached my hair last week.
spent most of the evening working on my site redesign. it's starting to come along. i find myself having to wrack my brain to remember a lot of the perl i once knew so well. but i guess it's been a few months since i've done any real hard core programming.
