2 October 1999
i woke up at 830, but since i never get to sleep in and dream anymore i did that for another hour and a half or so. and as soon as i had had some breakfast, i headed down to the studio.
i did some more drawings of my three-way tessellations, and then when the model shop opened at one, i began working on cutting out a prototype. unfortunately the blade broke in the scroll saw, and the lab monitor didn't know where to find any more.
so i did some more drawings, and then headed back up to my room to work on my modern architecture paper. i wasn't terribly successful, except for finding a pic of the eiffel tower (from the pixies' album trompe le monde).
then dinner (there's no real lunch on weekends, although sometimes i eat it about three). and then back to the studio to try and work on my paper there. i got about half of it written, the beginning and the end.
on my way back to campus i decided to stop by waterfire, as i've kinda ignored the last couple. saw alex there, and we walked back up and visited with jen for a bit.
about 1140 alex stopped by and said that a bunch of people we going to see the city of lost children up at brown. brown film society movies (unlike risd film society movies) aren't free. but it's a damn fine film, so i figured i'd go.
we got to see the last twenty minutes or so of brazil as well. i'm amazed at how much of it i've forgotten. but i guess it's been close to ten years since i saw it last (maybe).
anyway, i'm up too late again, and have to finish writing my paper and do some more design principles work tomorrow. so i'm off to bed.
