i dreamt i was walking down a rural road with my mom and one of her sisters. this futuristic jet plane sorta thing buzzed right over us and then landed a short way off. i went to check it out.

this guy who was a cross between buck rogers and flash gordon got out. i asked him if he was from the 24th century, and he said yes, but it was actually the year 3619. i said: so they've fucked up the calendar in the future? and he said yeah.

i decided to get into his ship and explore the universe. i put on my seat-belt 'cause i wasn't terribly impressed with his landing. and while backing out to the road to take off he did hit a tree.

later we were somewhere outside of time and space with a few of his friends. there was a girl with a tail, another girl with wings, and a guy who looked like a cat. we talked about who could fit in in 20th century earth, and it was basically only the cat-guy who wouldn't be able to.

we were planning a raid on these space pirates to get the parts that we needed to get out of this between space and time place. i don't know how it turned out.

it was much colder than the upper 50s today.

i got up early so that i could go and work in the shop, only to find it closed this morning. and it didn't open up until about 230. i cut my cardboard mock-up and decided that i really kind of liked the look in large scale cardboard. so i went scavenging for more.

while i was cutting my new cardboard boxes up, i realized how much glue it was going to take to laminate a stack 12x15x24 inches. ouch. so i went back to my block of mahogany for the time being. i cut two of the six pieces, then came back down to the shop to find the scroll saw busted, and no more blades. great.

so i went over to the id building to visit for a bit. and then when i had settled down a bit went back to the studio. i decided that if i made a second 12x15x4.5 inch cardboard piece that the two would be close to the correct dimensions. so i borrowed some glue and cut out some more pieces and stuck them all together.

i left the studio a little after eleven, 'cause this cold's giving me a nasty headache, and i just wasn't being productive anymore. tomorrow's gonna be a hefty day.
