i woke up at about four in the morning. i put my clothes in the dryer (it was good to do laundry, but my clothes always come out smelling like brimstone; i think our laundry room is a gateway to the underworld or something) and finished yesterday's entry. i went back to bed and didn't get up until eleven.
and not knowing if the metcalf store was open until noon or two on saturdays i went to buy plaster before i was fully awake. that was a bit of an ordeal. came back, took a shower, got something to eat.
i finally got to the studio about two. went from there to kinko's to photocopy my fabric models. i went to the kinko's downtown 'cause it's closer to the beb, but they only have two self-service copiers. and one was broken. so i had to wait. and as i tend to do, i got a little copy-happy when i finally got to use the machine. blowing things up really big and stuff.
went back to the studio and worked some and procrastinated some. didn't end up using the plaster. but i did make some nice drawings from the photocopies. i'm going to have to buy some chipboard tomorrow and start constructing some more rigid models.
and then i hung out with sarah from my studio section. that was cool. it's really the first time i've hung out with anyone other than the people that i met over the summer outside of a primarily work related context.
at midnight i went to see the talking heads film stop making sense at the avon. i think i was a bit too tired to fully enjoy it, but it was pretty cool anyway. and david byrne was a risd dropout, you know.
