happy bret's birthday. (or halloween to all of yous who don't know bret.)
i kinda wasted today too. i don't even know what i was doing for most of it.
at brunch alex.h said that he was going to the supermarket. i said i'd go with him (i needed to spend my last eight bucks on laundry detergent), but i wanted to bring my bottle of grapefruit juice back to my room first. (i've been buying these big bottles of tropicana grapefruit juice that are four times the size of the fresh samanthas and cost less than 50¢ more.) he said something about meeting me somewhere that i didn't really catch and just figured i'd find him where i left him.
but i didn't. so i thought maybe he went to the atm. so i walked up to thayer but he wasn't there. i thought maybe yuka had wanted to go to the supermarket, and maybe he had stopped at her place. no such luck. and i didn't want to walk back down at this point. so i just kept going.
i got my laundry detergent at bread and circus and then sat outside for a while. i figured he was prolly going to east side market, but if he was on foot he'd have to pass b&c. then it occurred to me that maybe he had his car closer to campus for the weekend when you can park places without being towed (normally he's parked on wickenden which is just about as far away as the supermarket, so i figured he wasn't headed out there).
so i walked back. but it was a beautiful day for a walk. so it was all good. haven't see alex.h since though.
eventually got down to the studio, but instead of working i made myself a mask out of extra fluorescent paper and photocopies that i had lying around. kinda a space robot or something. and then worked my shift it the library wearing my mask.
walked back with jen. then tried to call bret. didn't figure he'd be home, either out or working, but i was hoping to leave a babbling birthday message on his machine. but apparently he still doesn't have a working answering machine. so i had to email him instead.
materials and methods mid-term in less than eight hours. time for bed.
