i realized this morning that there was a show that i had been planning on going to last night. i so need a better way of remembering things. writing things on the back on my hand in purple sharpie doesn't do it anymore 'cause i've gotten so used to it being there that i don't pay any attention to the specifics of what it says. maybe a new colour?
more or less finalized my library hours for the summer. i'll be working thirty hour weeks for the first three weeks, and then forty for the rest of the summer. and the last couple of weeks are optional, so maybe i'll do some road tripping if i can swing it.
i got what may be the strangest piece of email that i've ever gotten today:
To Whom it may concern,
I have been interesting about your products and web site for a long time. I have a big company in Turkey about medical and health products and I have 45 dealers in whole country. I am looking for a new toothpaste. I would like to know about your products features and prizes for distributing in my country.
If you really concern about my company and business, I will appreciate.
it doesn't look like spam. it was adressed to my email. it's not trying to sell me anything. weird.
this end of the semester thing is weird too. i haven't seen much of anyone for a few days. i did hang out with chris.k for a bit this evening. saw garth briefly, and alex.h through his window. but i haven't been in the studio. and i haven't really been eating in the met (and no one else is there when i do eat there).
i have a feeling that summer will be a lot like this, even though a lot of people are planning on sticking around. i've been thinking that i should start a weekly (or every-other weekly) movie night once i've gotten settled in. invite anyone who is here for the summer. maybe cook dinner (as i do enjoy cooking for other people). and rent a couple of movies. do a theme each time.
sam told me tonight that he's going vegan. he picked up a peta pamphlet at a punk show, and it convinced him. i hope he sticks with it.
