documentation of work. slides as a section at ten. i was fifteen minutes late. there were only three other people there. it was tedious. i ended up in charge of the site model (again), and took slides of everyone's 1":40' models in context on the site model.
didn't leave the beb ('cept for one trip across the street for bagels right after i got there) until almost ten pm. it had started raining again, but i got a ride home from amy.
the fence between the parking lot behind farnum and the parking lot behind colonial apartments (where amy lives), which normally has a hole cut in it that you can walk though, was patched up. so i had to go around the front of the building to get to the door, and hence take the front stairs up, which i almost never do. and from the stairwell window i saw jen.c leaving the other section of the building. so i yelled out the window at her.
she and chris.k had come to visit, but i wasn't here. but then i was, so they came up for a bit. we were talking about friends, i guess, and jen said that she had noticed that she's been a bit exclusive as far as her friendships go, by spending all her time with matt, and that maybe that was a bad thing, and that she was being open and what did we have to say. and i said, somewhat jokingly, that i'd mention it on my website (which of course now i have), and she asked for the address again, and i kinda said what the hell and gave it to her. i know that chris has read bits of it, so he was giving me these looks during all this.
jen left. i ate last night's indian food in the kitchen, chris came down and sorta watched tv. then i went back upstairs and he left. checked my email, and then there was a knock at the door. chris again, and we hung out and talked for a while.
i mentioned that i still wanted to see some of his work (there was a sculpture open house yesterday, but i was writing my opera paper and it totally slipped my mind). so we walked over to the sculpture studio. looked around there, thought damn, i wish i was doing sculpture. while he talked about how much he hates the place now.
added a pictorial equation to the wall in their hallway: star + fish + radioactive seaweed = art + bumble bee. grabbed a handful of shredded paper. visited the furniture studio. there was some neat stuff. chris says to me, whenever you visit another department's studio, do you want to quit what yr doing and switch? earlier he told me that he and jen had been planning on forcing me to switch into film.
we walked to the beb so i could grab some more stuff. i've almost moved everything out. i was hoping to have it completely cleaned out by today, but my drawings are all still out on my desk (i never got around to photographing them, mainly 'cause i ran out of film photographing everyone's models), and there's some other stuff that's still floating about. hopefully one more trip tomorrow morning will do it.
