and really, that's the bulk of it. more recataloguing. non-circulating books becoming circulating books. currently circulating books becoming three day loan books. more books being sent off to storage.

used a little scrap of chris's museum board for today's picture. (as opposed to those thumbnails to the left, which are pix.) he's been doing all of his in the same format, something like 1 x 2 inches, with 3/4 inch borders. in gouache on museum board. so i used a little scrap of museum board that was 2 1/2 x 3/4, and left 1/8 margins on the top and bottom, and used my pallet that still had all my mixed colours from 2d last summer, and did a little panoramic, swirly colour sort of painting.

it's definitely less daunting to work at a miniature scale than any of the others that i've tried over the last few days (4 x 4, 8 1/2 x 11, 3' x 3'). although it's not actually any easier. maybe even a bit more of a challenge to do a nice job.
