risd dreams: i was trying to get into my lockers in the architecture building, but the hallways had been completely remodeled. there were these old fashioned wooden cubbies and shelves and such where many of the lockers had been. one of my lockers was still there, but i couldn't remember what floor the other locker had been on, and i wandered around for the longest time, down the halls, up and down the stairwells, looking for it.
later i was telling someone else about my plight. i must have learned in the interim that my stuff had just been thrown out. i was a little upset, but figured that it was in part at least my fault because i had been gone for a year and hadn't put a lock on that locker.
parallel to all of this i had been planning on getting into the library before it shut down for the summer to install something on the computers there. i can't recall what that was exactly. but, when i got to the library it was closed up, and there was just a small alice in wonderland-esque door, with a computer just inside that was somehow thwarting my attempts to do whatever it was i was doing.
the library and the architecture building were both along a central green with a number of other risd buildings that shouldn't have been where they were. and many of them were on a miniature scale.
went out and wandered around the property today. it's really very beautiful. although the rope snapped in a hammock that i sat in, i walked through quite a bit of poison ivy (although i've never gotten it, so i figure i'm not allergic), and was eventually chased inside by the mosquitos.
and while i was out, sam was looking at drew's (drew is my dad's girlfriend annette's son) treehouse, and he stepped on a nail. right through his shoe and into his foot.
we sat around for the rest of the evening watching tv, which seemed safer.
