got my first fillings in about a decade this morning. three more appointments to go. it wasn't as traumatic as i remember from my childhood. in part i'm sure because my mouth is bigger and it's easier to reach the back teeth. and also because my childhood dentist experiences were probably not all that traumatic anyway. the bits of memories that i do recall have almost certainly been coloured by our cultural portrayal of dentists. and then the technology is just more advanced now. they don't have to drill as deep because new fillings bond to yr teeth rather than having to be held in by geometry. and the novocaine is more effective and shorter lasting.
when i got home from work this evening garth was asleep on the couch in the kitchen and chris.k was asleep in the blue recliner in the living room. so i cooked dinner.
it was jen.c's birthday today. i ran into her a few days ago and she said that she was planning on going out and doing something and she'd call when she had a better idea of what it was. she didn't call of course, but i don't think i was really expecting her to remember that she said she would.
