magicbeans. nothing if not awkward.

i went out and bought a cell phone this morning. the cheapest one that could send email, but that turned out to be one step up from the phone that a number of other risd students bought. and all the instructions are in italian and i couldn't figure out how to set up the email configuration. so i downloaded english docs off the net, and it turns out that the phone actually makes a ppp connection to an isp. via dialup. and i can't dial the states just to send email. i don't know how much complaining i can really do though. just 'cause the fine print is in italian doesn't mean i'm not bound by it.
