stef on the phone early in the day. on the bus. driving south. and after a few hours of sleep she was off for somewhere warm. felt like we were both going on spring break. but it's too bad it wasn't together.

but our first stop, benevento, was cold. cold and raining and miserable out. the church that we visited there was really cool. centralized, a six column circle within a ten column circle. very complex architecturally.

back on the bus. group dinner in otranto. and the night in a very summer oriented hotel. no heat. cold.
