Scene One

The lights come up on the interior of a Volkswagen Jetta. STEPHANY is driving. She lights a cigarette. BEAN, in the passenger seat, frowns and looks out the side window.

Some time passes. STEPHANY flicks her cigarette butt out the window. She puts her hand on BEAN's.

STEPHANY

Happy sort of strange anniversary.

Silence.

BEAN

And wishes that our second year will be better than our first.

STEPHANY

(quietly) Yeah.
