I wrote something down that I wanted to remember about today on a dollar bill. But apparently I've spent it, and I have no idea what it was that I had written
It is Alex.S's birthday. He's the first of my school friends to be turning 30. Which could be a little scary. All the cultural baggage about the start of real adulthood and all of that. We haven't talked much lately, but Alex, I wish you all the best for your birthday and beyond.
I have this habit of having to qualify everything I say out of some nebulous fear of being misinterpreted. There's more of a specific story here, but I'm going to hold off on telling it for a bit.
