Bush Gardens sushi winds down.
19 November 2004
It was a beautiful day today. One of those late-autumn days in the Northeast that defy typical weather patterns, which is nice, but also serve to remind you that winter is right around the corner and this isn't somewhere where it stays in light jacket temperatures until the trees start budding again.
I would have liked to take advantage of it, and to have spent the day sitting in Central Park or some such, but instead made my way to my de facto home office (the Archive), and continued on my quest for finding a new place to live. Not too much to report on that front today.
'How many people do you have coming to sushi night?' Marie had asked me earlier.
'None, probably. I'm sure I'll talk to Chris sometime this afternoon and see what he's up to, but I wouldn't count on him coming. I'm not sure that anyone but us will be here.'
'What about all of Rob's friends?'
'I was under the impression that Rob wasn't even going to be here. The other day he seemed very unenthusiastic about sushi, but I wasn't around yesterday, so things might have changed.'
I did end up talking to Chris, he was taking Becky out for a 'real date'. Rob, as it turns out, was around, with Daniele, and had invited other people who didn't show up. Olivia and Adia stopped by around 930. But no one else.
And Foodswings later on, for vegan key-lime pie, which is about all I really like from there.
