No longer a teenager.

Sam's birthday. Twenty years old. I called him a few minutes after midnight last night.
Also my dad's birthday. I called, but didn't get an answer, and so left voicemail.
Chris actually had a pretty valid excuse to not do brunch this morning. I had no real motivation to leave the house and eat by myself. And still no food at home.
Ellen called early in the afternoon and asked if I'd like to go see The Life Aquatic later. Which did get me out of the house, and I stopped at Whole Foods to get some dinner before meeting her.
I was on the train for about 20 minutes. During which time Chris called to say he'd done what he needed to do, he was in Manhattan for a while, and would I like to get something to eat. Also Ellen called, the movie was sold out when she tried to get tickets, even the 11 o'clock showing, and maybe we could do something else. Of course I didn't check my messages until I had bought food and sat down in the Whole Foods cafe to eat it.
I think Chris found something else to do. Ellen and I ended up seeing Ocean's Twelve, which was pretty much exactly what I expected. The story was entertaining, but mostly kind of stupid. Beautifully shot though, and edited, and designed.
