Another '8' at work. My position in picking teams for the NCAA basketball tournament pool at work. A sports betting pool participated in by a bunch of artists and designers, most of whom don't even follow the sport in question, is sort of a farcical thing. I have no real interest in basketball, college or pro, but I felt let out of the trashtalking about whose team was going to beat whose last year, and so for $10 I decided this year to get in on it. And I pulled an '8' out of a hat. Out of 16, which is not a great pick, but as I said, farce and all, it still landed me a first seed.
