Starting a few minutes past midnight with Sam, I got a handful more (slightly belated) birthday phone calls today.

I took Chesterfield to the vet this evening. And spent the money with which I had been thinking about buying myself an iPod for my birthday. I haven't spent that much money on my own health and well-being in years.
