My New York State driver's license arrived in the mail today. The photo's blurry, as if it were taken outdoors on a particularly foggy afternoon. It's recognizable, but not terribly distinctive. I don't know if its a factor of all the new layers of anti-counterfeiting diffraction grating and watermarks and holograms and glitter and special inks, or if it was the camera on the day my photo was taken, or if I just happened to have more of a halo that day. In any case, it's now official, I'm a New Yorker. And there's something empowering and disorienting about that.
Again I stopped by Digital Society this afternoon. I had nothing much to do other than a few random errands but figured that I should try to spend a bit of time here and there out of the house now that I'm working from it, and so shouldn't just head home right away. And again, ended up going out to dinner with all three of the 250 Moore kids, this time there was no gas leak at Caravan of Dreams.
