I opened a savings account this morning. Another step on my path towards complete fiscal responsibility. Now if I could just take care of those pesky things like mountains of credit card and student loan debt and back income tax. And to be truthful, it was actually a series of events outside of my control, but set into motion because of my difficulty in performing a very basic fiscally responsible task, invoicing for work completed, that led to the situation in which opening a new savings account was really the only prudent option. But, whatever the cause, I've now got a savings account, and if I can be responsible enough to keep using it, I'm making steps.

The other noteworthy bit was that this happened this morning. In spite of tossing and turning fitfully for more of the night, I forced myself up and out of bed at a wholly reasonable hour.
