Take two.
11 November 2006
I was going to quote huge swaths of conversation today, without attribution or context. About gossip and public blogging. About music and road trips and falling in love with the wrong people. Things said on rooftops and over the phone and while on drugs.
But I couldn't get the tone of it right. I couldn't manage to say quite the right things with other people's words. And by the time I ended up in Southside Williamsburg, at a show in a warehouse space, it was loud and sweaty and my memory is a blur.
I found a $20 bill on the ground in the Bedford Ave subway station. And sure someone lost it there, but I'm sure that I've lost $20 enough times myself that I don't feel too bad for them.
And home is somewhere else entirely.
