There's two NaNoWriMo-inspired, music-centric projects that take place in February. February Album Writing Month, with the focus, as the name implies, on songwriting, and the goal of a song every two days. And Record Production Month, with the goal of a 10 songs or 35 minutes of music, recorded, tracked, and burnt to a CD.

I signed up for both, although given my less than stellar NaNoWriMo performance over the last couple of Novembers, and the fact that I'm going to be out of town for a week this month, and hence away from most of my means of making music, I don't exactly have the highest of aspirations. I did noodle a bit this afternoon, coming up with a little synth melody. We'll see how it goes.
