all kinds of people showed up for sushi night. i think at the busiest there were seventeen people in our kitchen. not all of them actually came to eat, though. some were just tag-alongs. chris.k wasn't all that happy with the experience, between the lack of skill in sushi rolling, and the fact that it didn't really feel like a meal. garth said later that he felt intimidated by all the people who he didn't really know. i guess i kinda share both of their concerns, but overall i think i enjoyed myself. i got a taste of what it must be like to work as a sushi chef, i was cooking and cooking, and all these people where sitting around waiting. (we went through ten cups of sushi rice.) and there were enough people around who i know fairly well to offset those who i don't.
earlier, the three of us went out shopping, and were run into by another car in the supermarket parking lot. it didn't do a whole lot of damage, but it's always a bit of a scary thing.
and later, after most of our dinner guests had left, nikki decided to spend tonight on our couch, rather than brown. and she's still kinda flirty in the same way that she used to be. which still makes me kinda uncomfortable. partly 'cause she's in some sort of relationship (although i don't know how serious that really is), and partly 'cause that stuff about molly has kinda come back to the surface.
